Mistakes are inevitable in our life and the word mistake is not the only option when something wrong happens. You dropped the ball, but you can still describe the misstep perfectly.
所以咱今天就來(lái)看一下,到底可以有幾種錯法…..Here we go!
1. Bug [b?ɡ]
這個(gè)詞大家再熟悉不過(guò)了,oh it’s a bug——電腦出了個(gè)bug,軟件出了個(gè)bug;But it can usually be fixed in a short time,通常問(wèn)題不大,很快能修好。
2. slipup [sl?p??p] n.
Def: A slip-up is a small or unimportant mistake.
E.g.Someone made a slipup in those brochures for the propaganda tomorrow.
3. gaffe[ɡ?f] n.
Def:A gaffe is a stupid or careless mistake, for example when you say or do something that offends or upsets people.
E.g.He fell to the ground and made an embarrassing gaffe at the convention last weekend.
4. flub [fl?b] n/v.
Def: an act or instance of making a mess of something
E.g.Come on, the textbooks are littered with flubs
5. botch [bɑt?] V.
Def: If you botch something that you are doing, you do it badly or clumsily
E.g.Oh you botch it! The solar panel can not be installed in this way.
6. flop [flɑp] n.
Def: If something is a flop, it is completely unsuccessful.
E.g.It is the audience who decide whether a film is a hit or a flop.
【Beauty in Sentence】
If youre prepared to adapt and learn, you can transform.
